GENE PELL HOSTS FRONT AND CENTER
Gene Pell hosts Front and Center. Front and Center is the only national radio program that addresses the concerns of the US Military. It features weekly tributes to military heroes from Valley Forge to Desert Storm; a "High Tech Watch" - updates on the latest R&D developments; must know information on benefits and other issues of importance to veterans and military families; as well as interviews with Service Chiefs, Members of Congress, etc.
Gene Pell served for eight years in Munich, Germany as President of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. Before assuming this position, Gene Pell was Director of the Voice of America. Gene Pell served three years at the VOA, as Director of News and English Broadcasting and as Deputy Director for Programs before being nominated as Director by President Ronald Reagan and confirmed by the US Senate. Prior to his government service Gene Pell spent more than twenty years in commercial broadcasting as a correspondent and news executive. He held a variety of positions including anchorman, national political correspondent in Washington, and NBC Pentagon correspondent. Gene Pell is a graduate of Harvard University and holds a Master's Degree in Journalism from Boston University. Gene Pell served three years as a US Navy officer. He is the recipient of the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and Boston University's Distinguished Alumni Award.
